The Lithos Company began through the journey of Engineer Eleanor Olegario, who started as a mineral mechanical engineer involved in selling minerals through their family business. In 2010, she returned to academia, where she became deeply engaged in research, scientific conferences, and international organizations such as the Clay Minerals Society and the International Natural Zeolite Association. Through these experiences, she contributed to promoting Philippine natural zeolite on a global stage.

From this research foundation, her vision expanded into developing and upgrading local Philippine minerals such as natural zeolite, bentonite, and calcium carbonate using clay nanotechnology. The name “Lithos” was derived from the Greek word “zeolithos,” where “lithos” means stone or mineral, reflecting the company’s core focus on mineral-based innovation.

As the company evolved, Lithos built strong collaborations with various academic institutions, including University of the Philippines Diliman, De La Salle University, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Adamson University, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela, and Technological Institute of the Philippines. These partnerships helped strengthen research, innovation, and the development of practical applications for local minerals.

Today, Lithos Company has grown into a mineral-based manufacturing enterprise focused on creating products for climate technology, clean technology, and environmental solutions. Its innovations are designed to capture toxins in solid, liquid, and gas forms—supporting industries such as agriculture, aquaculture, household applications, and environmental protection.
