GH-GaZ: Turning Waste Biogas into Accessible Clean Energy

GH-GaZ, a collaborative innovation by Lithos Manufacturing and Manly Plastics Inc., is pioneering a sustainable approach to clean energy by transforming waste biogas into a more accessible and usable energy source through locally sourced purification technology. The project was recognized as one of the finalists in TECH PLANTER Philippines 2026 under the Eco category.

The innovation focuses on upgrading biogas generated from organic waste into cleaner biomethane using mineral-based purification technology. By utilizing locally available materials and advanced filtration methods, GH-GaZ helps remove unwanted impurities from biogas, making it a more efficient and environmentally friendly energy source.

Developed under the leadership of Engineer Eleanor Olegario, the project reflects Lithos Manufacturing's mission of creating science-based solutions that address climate, environmental, water, and energy challenges. The technology combines the expertise of Lithos Manufacturing in mineral nanotechnology with Manly Plastics Inc.'s experience in manufacturing and product development.

By converting waste into clean energy, GH-GaZ supports the circular economy, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and provides communities with a sustainable alternative energy source.
